Today is the one-year anniversary of my knee surgery. I got up early this morning and ran my longer Marquette Park route, which brought me close to 6 miles. The knee felt good. I felt blessed to have the ability to once again be able to go outside on a clear Sunday morning and just move one foot after another and feel my muscles working, my heart pumping and lungs filling up with air. It's good to be alive.
